St. Peter’s enjoyed Worship in the Park and our Annual Parish Picnic Sunday, July 19. The Rev. Canon Richard Rowe presided at an outdoor Eucharist, followed by a traditional barbecue picnic. Youth “of all ages” participated in relays, sack-races, water balloon toss, and ice-block hill-sliding adventures.
Youth Build at General Convention

Youth from St. Peter’s, attending the General Convention Youth Program, helped construct framing for the second storey of Gordon’s House. The framed walls were temporarily erected inside the Anaheim Arena, where youth volunteers from all over the country signed their names on framing destined for the inside of the house’s walls, writing blessings for the recipient family. Reassembly on the building site is scheduled to begin with a blessing from Bishop Bruno on Saturday, July 25. Youth Program kids also built planting boxes to donate to churches starting community gardens and house-banks for collecting spare change for Habitat for Humanity.
