Jalama Beach Camping Trip!

September 17th-19th. On September 17th, join members of the St. Peter’s family as we begin our yearly pilgrimage to the sun, sand, and surf of the coast. We invite you to join us for this fun, relaxing, and delicious weekend parish gathering. Please contact the office for more details. See pictures from last year’s trip below.
This is a tent-camping two-night trip to a county park in Santa Barbara County. There will be food waiting when you arrive on Friday night, and a delicious steak dinner on Saturday night. Individuals and families take care of their breakfasts and Saturday lunch. The cafe on site is famous for its completely home-made hamburger, the Jalama Burger, a good choice for lunch. There’s a store in the campground, as well.
This year, an outing to an ostrich farm, where kids can feed ostriches and emus, is optional for Saturday. We’ve also located a spot for wine-tasting at $10/person (adults only, please) across the road from a farm where we can see and feed miniature horses. All three of these can be taken in during part of Saturday.
Remember, a family, for family camping purposes, can be one to a dozen people, and a carful can come from more than one family. Please contact the church if you would liek to share a ride or if you need to borrow camping equipment. There are extra tents and other equipment “out there” to be borrowed. Full instructions on driving, checking in, etc., will be provided to those who sign up.

Eucharist at the Camp: Mother Cindy Voien and Father Richard Rowe lead a special Eucharist, as some of the children of St. Peter's look on and participate.

Have you ever wondered?
- What makes the Episcopal Church what it is?
- How do we come by our beliefs?
- Are there beliefs to which Episcopalians must subscribe?
- What part does the history of liturgical worship play in our current practice? (Or: Where did we get THAT goofy tradition?)
- Why is there a Church Year ?
- ‘Episcopal’ is an adjective, and ‘Episcopalian’ a noun. Why?
Come with your inquiring heart. Six sessions on Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Library.
